General Questions

A rent-to-own (RTO) agreement is a contract between a Lessor and Lessee (Renter) that allows you to rent property for a set period with the option to purchase it later. Until the agreement is paid in full, ownership remains with the Lessor. Once all payments or an early payoff are completed, ownership transfers to you.

Rent-to-own can be an excellent option for individuals who may not have the capital or credit to purchase a product outright. It provides flexibility, access to high-quality assets, and a path to ownership without traditional financing. The key is choosing a credible rent-to-own agency that clearly outlines its terms, fees, and customer responsibilities.

A credible rent-to-own company will:

  • Be transparent about all fees, payment schedules, and ownership transfer terms.

  • Never hide penalties or add unexpected costs.

  • Offer flexible early payoff options without hidden charges.

  • Maintain active customer support with clear contact information.

  • Be properly registered and in good standing with state and federal business entities.

  • Have positive customer reviews and partnerships with established manufacturers or dealers.

No. Rent-to-own contracts include rental fees rather than interest. The total rental fee percentage is based on the term you choose (e.g., 36 months, 48 months, etc.).

No permanent modifications or alterations that would damage the property if removed are allowed during the contract period. If you are unsure about a modification, please contact us before proceeding.

As the Renter, YOU are responsible for the property if it is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear. We recommend contacting your insurance company for coverage options. Optional insurance programs like Assurance may also be available. Call Customer service for more information about Assurance.

You can request a voluntary pickup by contacting our customer service team. For trailers, you may also return the unit to a participating location. Once returned, the contract is terminated; however, any outstanding balances remain your responsibility.

You can return the trailer at any time, but per contract terms, the first (4) four payments must be completed.

Payments & Billing

You can pay in several convenient ways:

  • Online: Visit barnpayment.com

  • Phone: Call 844-292-3330, then select Extension 1 for automated payments (available 24/7)

  • Representative: Speak with a representative Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM CT

  • Mail: Send a cashier’s check or money order to:

Please note: We do not accept cash payments at dealer locations.

Accepted payment methods:

  • ACH (automatic bank draft)

  • Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express)

  • Over-the-phone payment

  • Cashier’s check or money order

  • No cash accepted at dealerships

You can set up autopay on our website or by completing an authorization form sent via email. Once activated, your payments will be automatically withdrawn each month.

Your due date is listed in your welcome packet, which you’ll receive both by email and by mail shortly after your contract begins.

Yes, you may pay extra toward your principal balance at any time.

Absolutely. You can pay off your rental agreement early at any time without hidden fees. The account must be current and in good standing. To request a payoff balance, call 844-292-3330 Customer Service (Ext. 2) during business hours.

You’ll receive a welcome email from Premier Portable Buildings with important delivery and contact information.

  • Custom orders: Delivered within 25–35(6-8 weeks) business days.

  • On-lot purchases: Delivered within 7–10 business days(1-3 weeks), weather permitting.

  • Your delivery driver will contact you to schedule your delivery date and time.

  • The email also includes your regional sales rep’s name and contact information, your dealer’s information, and the delivery driver’s name.

You’ll receive a welcome email from Trailers by Premier with rental and payment information.

  • You are responsible for insurance, any damages, and the return of the trailer once your rental is complete.

  • Ownership transfers only after all payments are received.

  • Do not take payments to the dealer.

  • You can make payments by:

    1. Mailing to P.O. Box 5117, South Fulton, TN 38257

    2. Calling 844-292-3330 (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or ACH accepted)

    3. Visiting trailerpayments.com to pay online.

End of Contract

  • For trailers: You’ll receive your Tennessee Certificate of Title within 6–8 weeks after your final payment.

  • For buildings: You will receive a payoff confirmation letter  and a Building Certificate once your balance is complete.

Once the trailer is paid off and ownership transfers to you, you’ll need to obtain your own tag from your local DMV.

Titles, Tags & Registration (Trailers)

  • This is the standard plate issued by the state of Tennessee for all trailers.

That year marks when the state of Tennessee revised its trailer plate design.

“PERM” indicates that the tag is permanent while you are renting the trailer.

Until the trailer is paid off, it remains property of the rental company. Therefore, the registration lists the company as the owner.

Once your trailer is paid in full, our Title Department will mail you the Tennessee Certificate of Title within approximately 6–8 weeks. You can then take the title to your local tag office to transfer ownership into your name.

Additional Information

Once your application is approved, your contract is finalized and sent to Blue House Rentals.
